"New Years" is the first video from Ohbijou's new album Beacons. If you haven't, go pick this album up, their sound only got better. It features a smoother, slicker, and bigger version of what they previewed on their debut album Swift Feet for Troubling Times.

New MV Alert: Two Hours Traffic "Happiness Burns"

Two Hours Traffic is back with the first video for their sophomore album Territory (which you can currently stream on their website). These boys were nominated for a Polaris Prize for their previous album Little Jabs, so might be worth checking it out.

Uh. So, we're back. After some waiting and with many apologies. And hoping that you cared.

So. You might have been wondering where I have been (or not, but my ego likes to think you might have been). Well do to a combination of factors I have failed completely to blog for an unseemly amount of time. Fear not. I have not forgotten, merely been otherwise occupied. The real life details are both complicated and boring. So in lieu of long winded excuses here is a small sampling of how I have been spending my much reduced free time on the internet. As you can see I have been cheating on you, dear blog, with other internet time wasters.

1. Sucked into the void of K-pop fan culture. For reference here is the music video found on youtube first. This is a song by a K-pop band called SS501. Kind of standard fare but K-pop addicted girls being who they are (and tech savvy to boot) there are literally a million and one videos of their idols doing everything from live performances, interviews, gameshows, goofing off, trying to speak english, actually speaking english, failing to speak english, goofing off speaking english, and PRACTICING. Because like the finished product wasn't enough...? The depth and scope of this k-pop thing just continually blows my mind.


Seriously, it couldn't have been that cold in there.

2. Ninjavideo.net. Uh, yeah. I'm addicted to Ice Road Truckers. And maybe Dog the Bounty Hunter. And maybe Deadliest Catch too.

3. Reading real news. Gasp. Shock. No, really? Yes, really. I was an International Relations major in college guys.

4. Posting on my other blog. Because it is easier and expectations are lower.

Sorry guys. For cheating. But we're back and better (hopefully) then ever! Keep your eyes open for a new layout coming soon as I also spent my free time learning html.

So Diplo has remixed The Dead Weather's "Treat Me Like Your Mother" and has twisted the grungy, dirty world of Jack White and Alison Mosshart in on itself and now there really is no way out. Dark, sweaty, and sexy. This is a great track. Check it out (also free download!)
